His Honour Judge Glenn was appointed as Resident Judge for Stoke-on-Trent Combined Court from 31 January 2008, in succession to His Honour Judge Styler.

His Honour Judge Wide QC, currently the Resident Judge at Northampton, was re-appointed in this role by the President of the Queen’s Bench Division for a further term.

Her Honour Judge Bush was sworn in as a Circuit Judge on 27 February 2008.

His Honour Judge Victor Hall was been elected as the Secretary General for the European Judicial Training Network on a 3 year secondment.  Judge Victor Hall took office from 15 March 2008.

His Honour Judge Eccles QC transferred to sit at Oxford Combined Court (on the South Eastern Circuit) on 1 April 2008.

His Honour Judge Parker QC was appointed on 23 May 2008 to sit in the Crown Courts at Birmingham and Wolverhampton

The President of the Family Division appointed His Honour Judge Lea as Designated Family Judge for Leicester in succession to His Honour Judge Brunning, for a four-year term, with effect from 7 June 2008.

The President of the Family Division appointed Her Honour Judge Hindley QC as Designated Family Judge for Birmingham in succession to His Honour Judge Donald Hamilton, with effect from 13 July 2008.

His Honour Judge Worster was appointed on 2 July 2008 to sit at Birmingham Civil Justice Centre

His Honour Judge William Davies QC was appointed on 2 July 2008 to sit at in the Crown Courts at Birmingham and Wolverhampton

His Honour Judge Trevor-Jones was appointed on 2 July 2008 to sit in the Crown Courts at Stoke on Trent and Shrewsbury

His Honour Judge Robert Alan Brown was appointed on 10 July 2008 to sit in the Crown Courts at Lincoln and Derby

His Honour Judge McKenna was appointed as the Designated Civil Judge (Senior Circuit Judge) at Birmingham Civil Justice Centre with effect from 1 July 2008. 

His Honour Judge David Cooke was appointed as a Specialist Chancery Judge (Senior Circuit Judge) at Birmingham Civil Justice Centre on 17 July 2008

His Honour Judge Patrick Thomas QC was appointed on 17 July 2008 to sit in the Crown Courts at Birmingham and Worcester

His Honour Judge Burgess was appointed as the Resident Judge for Derby with effect from 31 August 2008, in succession to His Honour Judge Wait.

His Honour Judge Victor Erik Stanhope Salomonsen was appointed on 26th September 2008 to be based at Birmingham Crown Court.
