In practice, Andrew is an experienced Clinical Negligence barrister and head of the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Groups at St Philips. He is highly rated by the major guides to the legal profession for his skill as a lawyer and advocate and is noted for his client care.

As treasurer, he is responsible for overseeing Circuit finances. The income generated by subscriptions and from other sources, such as grants and legacies, is applied for the benefit of Members and to promote the status of the Circuit more widely. In recent years there has been further investment in training and education, the Women’s Forum and the Midland Circuit Mini-Pupillage Scheme. Andrew works closely with the Assistant Treasurer and other Circuit Officers to provide financial support on behalf of the Circuit to worthwhile initiatives. The Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer are always open to discussing new ideas from Members and either can be contacted with day to day funding enquiries for travel for Circuit business or case dinners.
