The Midlands has a rich history of having an ethnically diverse population. It is time that the barristers on circuit reflect the makeup of the public that we serve and it is my hope that we can achieve the same by encouraging more applications of diverse ethnic backgrounds into the profession and retaining the immense talent that we currently have on circuit.
